Clash Royale Shocktober season: Hero Electro Wizard and a free Electro Giant Evolution

Supercell announced the Shocktober season on October 5, 2026; it runs from October 6 to November 2.
What’s new
New Hero: Electro Wizard, whose Surging Strikes ability stuns two nearby enemies at once. It is in the Upgraded Pass Royale.
New Evolution: Electro Giant. It is unlocked for free by completing the Album Event “Shocktober: The Movie!” (October 6 – November 2, from Arena 3), which also gives an emote and a tower skin.
Badges: up to two in the Spooky Chess league (October 5–19) and one in the Power Surge Global Tournament (October 20–25), each with an extra badge for a top 10,000 finish.
The 20-Win Challenge returns from October 26 to November 2: 20 wins with fewer than 3 losses for an emote.
What it means for account value
An Evolution that every player can earn for free does little to set one account apart. Badges for a top 10,000 finish are harder to get and show skill on a profile. King Tower level and card levels remain the main value drivers in our research.

Clash Royale Merge Tactics: October changes to Supers, Elixir and badges

Supercell announced the October changes for Merge Tactics season 11 on September 30, 2026; they apply from October 1.
What’s new
Supers are no longer starting troops: they go into the shared pool, where every player can compete for them.
Elixir earned each round goes back from 5 to 4.
Battle Machine and Dagger Duchess get Level 5 skins for players who have already upgraded them.
From season 12, the Silver badge requires reaching Diamond League and the Gold badge a Top 10,000 finish.
What it means for account value
Badges that need a high finish become harder to earn from season 12, which makes them a clearer sign of skill on a Clash Royale profile. King Tower and card levels remain the main value drivers.

Clash Royale September balance changes: Hero Ice Wizard and Minion Giant nerfed

Supercell published two rounds of Clash Royale balance changes, applied on September 8 and September 16, 2026.
What’s new
September 16: Hero Ice Wizard freeze 7 s → 5 s; Goblinstein ability 4 s → 3.5 s; Minion Giant damage 189 → 168; Fire Spirit damage 207 → 215.
Reworks: Hero Mega Minion (warps back, warp damage 399 → 422) and Hero Wizard (ability 5 s → 3.5 s); Wizard damage 281 → 304.
Buffs include Ronin, Spirit Empress and Goblin Cage.
What it means for account value

Clash Royale “Minion Academy” season: new card Minion Giant and the Ice Wizard hero

Supercell opened the Clash Royale season “Minion Academy”, running from September 7 to October 5, 2026.
What’s new
New card Minion Giant: a flying win condition that targets buildings and towers. It is free through the Academy Antics album event and will not appear in chests until next season.
The album event gives 1,750 Minion Giant cards, an emote and a tower skin.
New hero: Ice Wizard, from the Pass Royale track or for 200 Hero Coins.
Events: 2v2 League (Sept 7–21), Princess Gambit global tournament (Sept 21–26) and Royale Shuffle (Sept 21 – Oct 5). A draw in Ultimate Champion now costs half the trophies of a loss.
What it means for account value
Tower skins and emotes offered only during an event make a Clash Royale collection more distinctive, while King Tower level and card levels remain the main value drivers.
